My cockatiel, Pumpkin, is a wonderful bird and a friend to hang out with.  I especially like to scratch her head and have her step up on my hand.  I love her very much.

Our bird was healthy and very well socialized.  The birds are raised in a loving, clean, and also beautiful environment. I highly recommend them!

"You can't find a better bird keeper, birdllover, and aviculturist than Karen. I have purchased a  number of birds from her. They were all in fine health, feather and personality.  They certainly know how to breed coming from her large finch aviary.  I will always buy birds from Karen.

In the past year I have purchased several finches (owls, swees & stars) and a normal bourke parakeet from her. I found her to be very professional and her birds very well taken care of. If you have any questions, she is more than willing to try to answer them for you. I highly recommend any of her birds.

I've purchased many birds from Nu Feathers Aviary and all have been healthy and strong.  Karen is a pleasure to deal with.  She really goes out of her way to find you the bird you're looking for.  She also has a great deal of knowledge about birds and is always willing to take the time to answer questions. I'm sure I'll continue to do business with her for years to come.

There is so much I can say about Nu Feathers Aviary and its proprietor, Karen Perna, but surely I can sum it with in two remarks: “wonderful quality birds” and “excellent personal service and care.” If you can, you owe it to yourself to visit Nu Feathers Aviary and see for yourself what Nu Feathers is all about. You will be wonderfully surprised and warmly welcomed.

Meet Chloe, a female Pacific parrotlet, soon to be joining our family.
She was hatched November 29, 2004 at NuFeathers Aviary in Greenwood Lake NY.
We visited the aviary http:www.nufeathersaviary.com and met Karen Perna ( aviary owner and parrot breeder) today. It was a 350 mile round trip and it was worth every mile on the road. Karen is a knowledgeable and dedicated breeder and we were allowed into her public area, not  where the breeding birds are. She has a magnificent large beautiful finch environment enclosure with gorgeous exotic finches and hanging flowers and plants.
Little Chloe is set up like a little princess with her own cage.....complete with cuddling blanket ( a washcloth) , millet , cuttlebone, water bottle and a perch. Karen is doing a magnificent job in socializing little Chloe. Chloe is very sweet and very calm, like a little angel. According to Karen she is already full size. She is so tiny and angelic. Suzanne and I were mesmerized.
As soon as Chloe is fully weaned off hand feeding formula and totallly eating on her own we will be able to take her home.
