There is so much I can say about Nu Feathers Aviary and its proprietor, Karen Perna, but surely I can sum it with in two remarks: “wonderful quality birds” and “excellent personal service and care.” If you can, you owe it to yourself to visit Nu Feathers Aviary and see for yourself what Nu Feathers is all about. You will be wonderfully surprised and warmly welcomed.

To put it simply, the birds at Nu Feathers are beautiful. Insofar as I am a cockatiel enthusiast, I took great pleasure in observing the many mutations that Nu Feathers has to offer, from pieds, to pearls, to whitefaces, to lutinos and albinos. All the birds are healthy, well socialized and incredibly affectionate. I have purchased six birds from Nu Feathers Aviary, and I am happy to report that have had absolutely no problems with any of them. In fact, if I compare the Nu Feathers birds to my other birds that I purchased from other locations, I can confidently say that the Nu Feather’s birds are better birds….they are more socially adjusted, sweeter and just plain prettier (vibrant colors, clear markings, etc.)!

Nu Feathers also has a wonderful “tech support” program. Karen happily makes herself available after the purchase and sale of a Nu Feathers bird to answer any questions that you may have regarding the raising and caring of your new bird. She has taught me how to trim the birds’ feathers and she has helped me to design a healthy diet regimen for the birds. She was also there to help me when a broken blood feather situation arose. It is a source of great comfort to have access to such a knowledgeable and caring person.

Nu Feathers also breeds bourke parakeets, parrotlets and finches. I also had the pleasure of seeing these birds while visiting Nu Feathers Aviary, and I can personally attest to the beauty and good health of those birds as well. Regardless of the bird you purchase, you will secure a well socialized bird that is beautiful, fun and endearing. I guarantee you that you after you have visited Nu Feathers Aviary, you will never go elsewhere to purchase your bird of choice!
